Bubbles and more bubbles…

imageSo today finds me flying to Houston to hinder  help my parents move into their new digs. Literally in the air as we speak…thank you in-flight wifi.

It won’t be a long post because I have a delightful breakfast on the way. (Surely they can’t screw up oatmeal, right?)

Anywho..here’s my dilemma. Actually, there are two.

First of all, I have to go to the bathroom but the gentleman in front of me has leeeeeeaned his chair back so far, I am about 1 inch from a suspicious mole on his scalp. Second, the woman sitting across the aisle has a Kindle.  The pickle I’m in is this…she has a clear protective cover on the front and it has many bubbles. Not only are there zillions of bubbles, but the top corner is also coming unstuck. It is daring me to lean out into the aisle and set it free.

I can’t stop looking at that corner…It’s practically waving and mocking me.  And yes, I’m the girl, who,  if invited to your house and has a teeny bit of wallpaper coming loose…….well, you know what I would do, and I apologize in advance.

So, I am going to try to wash down this oatmeal  and close my eyes.

Pray she doesn’t go to the bathroom, because that cover is mine…

June 24, a new wonder of the world.
“Sky Park” Marina Bay Sands is located on the 200-meter height on the three skyscrapers,

Imagine trying to build something like this.  What an amazing structure!
This building featured on the Discovery Channel showing the construction details and challenges.
The bow is cantilevered for a tremendous distance putting a strain on the rest of the structure;
all this was factored into the design.

The hotel, which has 2,560 rooms costing from  £350 a night, was officially opened yesterday with a concert by Diana Ross.

The Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi,  estimated to have cost £2billion when it opened in 2004, was previously the  world’s most expensive hotel.

But with its indoor canal, opulent art,  casino, outdoor plaza, convention centre, theatre, crystal pavilion and museum  shaped like a lotus flower, the Marina Bay Sands has taken its crown.

beautiful wooden church in Poland…

images

There is an old wooden church in Poland that is so beautiful, I can only imagine how hard it is to concentrate on the service!

This church (Peace Church in Swidnica) had been built by Germans, actually this part of Poland had been German until WW II, when the Oder/Neisse line had been drawn.

Details in  this church are absolutely amazing.

Take a good look.
Use the  pointers at the bottom of the picture to view all the different angles,  up and down and the + sign to zoom         in.

Absolutely beautiful!! Click on link below!

can’t relax? go fly a kite…like this guy…

fb4284d1-67e3-44ab-91f8-d9c7baebd7fa_1

The gentleman flying these kites, is from Canada.  His name is Ray Bethell and he is a World Champion and World Record Holder of flying multiple kites.  He comes to the Washington State International Kite Festival every year.

He generally flies the kites without his shirt, hence the brown leathery skin.  He is also deaf and when he flies the crowd holds up their hands instead of giving him applause.

Two kites are flown with his hands and the other is tied to his waist.  And of course the music is glorious.

Watch until the end so you can see the last kite land………..and hey……………………relax!  You’re going to LOVE this!

sometimes you just gotta dance…

What do all these people have in common?  Dancing!!

We all experience periods of happiness at some time or another and one method of displaying happiness is dancing.  Happiness and dancing transcend political boundaries and occur in practically every human society.  Matt Harding traveled through many nations on Earth, and filmed the result. His video is the latest in a series  of similar videos, is perhaps a dramatic example that people from all over our great planet  feel a common bond as neighbors.

Why can’t we all just get along DANCE???

Happiness is frequently contagious — few people are able to watch Matt’s video without smiling.  Enjoy!
