special kids, chosen moms…

FullSizeRender

Finally!  I have finally finished writing a book that has my blood, sweat, tears and more tears all over it.  (ok, not literally) and it is listed on Amazon HERE.

If you didn’t know, I had a beautiful child that contracted Group B Strep on his 3rd day in this world.  Within weeks we discovered he was blind, had cerebral palsy, a severe seizure disorder and was fed via a G-Tube with a 24 hour feeding pump.  This little guy took over 32 medications a day and decided to stick around for 15 1/2 years!  He was an amazing child that grew to be over 5 feet tall and certainly kept me in shape!

In my book, I am hoping to help other mothers of special needs children as they take care of their own.  It’s a practical guide with information regarding healthcare, schools and respite, organizing the household, travelling and laced with Scriptures throughout.

My own journey was made easier by allowing God to walk with me and help me make it day by day and hour by hour.  I cannot imagine this season in my life without Him to lean on.

Please take a moment to look at the book and let me know what you think.  I’m hoping that by helping mom’s of special needs children physically, that God can lift them up spiritually and lead them closer to His grace.  I want God’s peace to infiltrate your home, your life and the life of your little one.

sometimes there are too many rollercoasters…

emotional-rollercoaster Ladies, remember when you were little and you saw a rollercoaster for the first time?  Watching the ups and downs of the little cars on the tracks made you shiver in your little mary-janes……

Then you grew up and the excitement of that rollercoaster caused butterflies in your stomach, but you stood in line anyway?  Can you still hear the screams?

If you stop and listen………really listen…….you can hear cries going up all over our nation.  According to the Huffington Post, there are 4.1 million single mother families living in poverty and this number has nearly doubled since 1960.  Can you believe this?  What a sad statistic.

But guess what?  There is hope!  Author and friend, Pam Kanaly, has written a book called, “The Single Mom and her Rollercoaster Emotions” for the single mother facing those negative emotions that try to steal their joy.  Pam knows because she was once that single mother.  She has experienced first hand the challenges that single women are faced with each day.

So click on the link to “The Single Mom and her Rollercoaster Emotions” and give the gift of hope to someone you know that needs some encouragement and blessing during this season in their life!  You can make a difference!

ooopsy…I’m back!

Ok, I just couldn’t stand it anymore.  I miss you….(I hope each one of you got a tear thinking I was talking specifically to YOU)  But I have been writing…proof follows…

Ok, that isn’t proof that I’m writing…but it IS proof that I’m messy…..remember my beautiful dining room table used to look more like this…

And at one time it had a HANDMADE, PEOPLE! quilt on it…..

But that was during the sewing season….and yes, there is such a thing as a sewing season, I’m just sure of it.

But while I’m here to write my book, sometimes I get a bit distracted.  For example, there was a MOOSE on our property!  How cool is that?  Well, I had to go check it out…

In that picture she is giving me the stink eye….

I say, “she” because the female moose doesn’t have the paddle thingy’s…..AND…brace yourself…

She is on Shiz (don’t know how to spell it but that is how it’s prounounced) creek…….so what does that REALLY make her?????   Wait for it……..

Yes, she is up Shiz creek without a paddle!!!!!!

Oh mercy…..I thought that up all by myself and am still chuckling….

Goodnight!!
