How can we know God’s Will for our lives? Well, we can see that God does have a plan for us and we can know that His plan is good. But we need to be in His Word to know what that plan is. First we should know that it is God’s Will that the world be saved.
John 1:13 “It is God’s will that you be born again, that you be born not of the will of flesh nor of the will of man but of God.”
Matthew 18:14 “It is not God’s will that one little one perish.”
John 6:40 “It is my Father’s will that everyone who sees the Son and believes on him should have eternal life – that I should raise him at the last day.”
We need to constantly align ourselves with His purpose and His Will. Many, many, many times it isn’t exactly clear but that is why we have to spend time in His presence. The key to knowing His hearts desire is to walk with him daily. When you spend time reading the Bible, and praying, you will start to understand more of what He wants and not what we want, we will see His passion.
Max Lucado says, “He doesn’t want to be where He’s not invited. Ever the gentleman, our Lord awaits our invitation.” Wow. I couldn’t have said it better.
We have a free will. He doesn’t impose Himself on us. He stands back and waits for our call.
It’s time to make that call. You may go days without thinking of Him, but there isn’t a moment when our Heavenly Father isn’t thinking about you.
