I love being on the mountaintop. Who doesn’t? But I’m talking about the real mountaintop…..As I sit here in my comfy chair facing the window, I look out and see God’s hand in all creation.
This is where I come in the morning (or any time for that matter) and sit and reflect on all God’s love. My verse for our ranch is “Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10. Can you imagine me being STILL? It’s so easy up here. It’s easy when you are on the mountain.
But what about when you are not on the mountaintop? What if your fear has grabbed a hold of your heart? Or what if you have been misunderstood? There is so much….of life….that keeps us away from our mountain. We get busy in our day and find ourselves so wrapped up in our own details that we forget to stop…..and be still.
I am so thankful that the Lord is my strength. When I have fallen off the cliff and am back in the daily grind…He is there. He isn’t JUST on the mountain. He is in the valley. He is in the storm. And He is waiting……so as I crawl back into His loving arms, I will “Be still….”. And I will listen to His voice……
